Un agujero de gusano podría ser utilizado para el viaje en el tiempo. Pero en el utilizarlo en el viaje, el tiempo representaría mucho menos. Un ejemplo si se entraría en un reloj el año 2000 antes de acelerar una de las bocas y la otra boca acelerar el reloj al año 2010, el viajante llegaría en el 2005. Pero se considera imposible realizar esto con un agujero de gusano. Pero actualmente se deduce otras teorías que se podrían aplicar al agujero de gusano para realizar el viaje en el tiempo.
El viaje en el tiempo
La teoría de la relatividad de Albert Einstein postula que la luz se propaga a través del vacío y que su velocidad, medida desde cualquier sistema que lo haga, es siempre la misma. Las partículas materiales al moverse en espacio-tiempo se moverían hacia el futuro, pero nunca hacia atrás.
Pero cualquier teoría, debería tener en cuenta, que si existiera la posibilidad del viaje en el tiempo, que pasaría si se modificara algo o alguien. Teorías que fueron ya expuestas en el mundo de la literatura, como la novela del autor René Barjavel, El viajero imprudente ó en la película La máquina del tiempo (2002) de H. G. Wells, aunque en el libro esto no lo describe. Otra película puede ser Terminator ó en una serie animada llamada Futurama.
